Appointments and Queries

• The surgery is open between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
• The surgery is closed at weekends and on Bank Holidays when cover is provided by an Out of Hours provider.
• An appointment system is in operation for consultations and clinics.
• We operate an "advanced access" booking system, allowing patients to call the surgery and arrange an appointment with a GP on the same day. However, some pre bookable appointments are also available.
• Appointments with members of the Practice Nursing Team are pre-booked. An appointment can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance.
• The consultation time for GP appointments is 10 minutes.
• Telephone consultations are available. If you leave your details in the morning, including contact number, the doctor will return your call after midday.
• Patients are free to see whom they wish but are encouraged to see the same doctor for the duration of particular illnesses.
• The doctors work as a team and do not have personal lists.
• Each partner sees 15 patients in a morning surgery and 14 of an afternoon.
• The duty/visits doctor is allocated only 6 appointments per session (though genuine emergencies sometimes extend this number).
