14/12/2011 Prescribing software

We are excited to announce that early in the New Year the prescribing software which is compatible with our clinical system will at last be ready. We have waited in anticipation for the last 12 months and hopefully it will provide a simpler way for our patients to order their repeat prescriptions. Details and Registrations Forms will be available from the Reception Team from February 2012.

Would you like to join our Virtual Patient Group? Then please get an application form from reception. Our aim is to gain input from our patients towards improvement.

05/10/2011 Flu Clinics

Flu Clinics started W/C 29/09/11. If you are in an “At Risk” Group or will be 65 before 31/03/2012 please contact reception to book your Flu Vaccination.

30/05/2011 Online appointments

From week commencing Monday 20th June, patients will be able to book appointments with a GP on-line, for details please go the Information Section of this website.

Saturday Surgery – we offer routine appointments for Saturday mornings that can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance.

National Primary Care Mental Health Collaborative - Self Help

Springwood Surgery is taking part in the National Primary Care Mental Health Collaborative, to try and improve mental health care, with a view to disseminating current best practice in areas such as using self-help material. We are looking in to how to best provide self-help information for people with common mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety.

This material uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques that people can learn about in their own homes. Further information may be found on the following web sites:
